Jeanne Huntley has joined the BES family to serve as our Assistant Principal. Ms. Huntley is passionate about all people (little and big)! She takes pleasure in helping people find their path to reach their full potential and lead a happy, healthy, and productive life.
Ms. Huntley brings a wealth of experience to the job. Ms. Huntley is a graduate of East Carteret High School. She has a B.S. in Education from UNC- Chapel Hill and MA Ed.’s from East Carolina University in Elementary Education, School Counseling, Curriculum and Instruction, and School Administration. Ms. Huntley has been helping students and families in Carteret County for over 38 years. She has been an elementary school teacher, a guidance counselor, and Assistant Principal, a Principal, the Directory of Pre K Programs, the Assistant Superintendent, and an Interim Superintendent. Ms. Huntley has also worked for the Hill Center for 10 years. As the Public School Outreach Coordinator for the Hill Center she trained and worked with reading programs in ten North Carolina counties.
Ms. Huntley’s greatest joy is being a parent to two sons. Her greatest blessing is becoming a JeJe to twin granddaughters. Ms. Huntley enjoys growing in her faith, reading, traveling, and watching ACC basketball. She is always looking for opportunities to learn new things.
